proud of you and if there is a God up there, He will set things right when the time comes - if not in this life, may be the next one! But He will!

In the previous letter, I talked about how one should develop and protect the ability to think independently and question where the biases may be coming from.

Once you get a handle on your thoughts, it would become easier for you to focus on the ‘actions’ or priorities that truly matter for you.

Because, in the end, you don’t become what you want or think.

You become what you repeat. In other words, your actions speak loud and clear to yourself and to everyone around you. Your actions also determine your path to your future.

Think about it.

Almost everyone wants to be better — stronger, smarter, more confident, more disciplined. Wanting it feels good. It gives you a sense that you’re moving in the right direction. But life doesn’t really change because of what you want. It changes because of what you do, again and again, without much noise.

Most change happens quietly.

You don’t wake up one morning and suddenly become confident. Instead, you become confident after many small moments where you chose to speak, try, fail, and try again. You don’t suddenly become disciplined. You become disciplined after showing up on days you didn’t feel like it. Over time, these small actions stop feeling like effort and start feeling like who you are.

That’s how identity is built — not through big decisions, but through repeated behaviour.

One good day won’t change your life. One bad day won’t ruin it either. What matters is what you do most days. The things you repeat slowly become your default. And your default becomes your direction.

If you get used to putting in effort, effort feels normal.

If you get used to avoiding things, avoiding becomes normal.

At first, these patterns are hard to notice. Nothing dramatic happens. But give it time, and the difference becomes obvious. The person who quietly repeats the right things starts pulling ahead — not suddenly, but steadily.

That’s the part most people underestimate. Repetition feels small in the moment. But over time, it builds something real.

Another thing you’ll notice is that your environment makes a big difference. You tend to repeat what’s around you. If the people around you are focused, you start becoming focused. If everything around you is distraction, it becomes easier to drift. That’s why choosing your environment carefully matters more than it seems.

Also, don’t confuse discipline with intensity. Doing something once with full energy is easy. Doing it regularly, even when you don’t feel like it, is what creates change. Most of the things that actually improve your life are not exciting — they’re steady.

And here’s something important: you don’t need to fix everything at once.

Just pick one thing.

It could be your fitness.

It could be your studies.

It could be learning a skill.

Start small. Stay consistent. Let repetition do the work.

At your age, this matters more than you think. The habits you build now don’t just affect your present — they quietly shape your future. A few years of the right repetition can put you far ahead. And a few years of the wrong repetition can make things harder than they need to be.

So don’t worry too much about becoming someone extraordinary overnight.

Just focus on what you’re repeating every day.

Because whether you notice it or not — you are becoming someone already.

With love,

Papa

[Mar 2026] Don't outsource your thinking

When everyone is speaking loudly, the real strength lies in slowing down and deciding what you truly think

Praveen

<picture></picture>

Hey Champ,

I am incredibly proud of you.

Every step you take — whether it’s on the field, in the classroom, or simply learning something new — makes me smile in ways you probably can’t imagine.

Anyone who has taught you, guided you, or supported you deserves gratitude. Growth is always a team effort, and I’m thankful for everyone who contributes to your journey.

You are building yourself day by day — through discipline, effort, curiosity, and courage. That is what truly matters. Talent is wonderful, but character is what carries a person far.

One of the most valuable abilities you can develop — especially in today’s world — is the ability to think independently.

It sounds simple. But it’s becoming rare.

We live in a time where opinions are everywhere. Social media shapes what seems important. Friends influence what feels acceptable. Influencers amplify what appears successful. News cycles highlight what demands attention. Algorithms quietly filter what reaches you.

If you’re not careful, you can begin absorbing ideas without ever examining them.

That’s what I mean by outsourcing your thinking.

It’s easy to repeat what others say. It’s easy to agree with the loudest voice in the room. It’s easy to follow trends without questioning them. It feels safe. It feels like belonging.

But real growth begins when you pause and ask yourself,

“Do I actually believe this?”

“Why do I think this way?”

“Where did this idea come from?”

Independent thinking doesn’t mean disagreeing with everyone. It means understanding why you agree.

You don’t need to rebel. You don’t need to argue. You don’t need to prove anything. But you should learn to examine ideas before adopting them.

When something becomes popular very quickly, ask yourself why.

When someone makes a strong claim, ask what evidence supports it.

The strongest minds are not the loudest. They are the most curious.

And here’s something important: thinking independently requires patience. It requires reading more than headlines. It requires listening more than reacting. It requires being comfortable saying, “I’m not sure yet.”

That’s maturity.

There will always be pressure. Fitting in can feel important. Being accepted can feel important. And that’s natural. But never trade your clarity of thought just to feel included.

You can respect others’ opinions without surrendering your own.

You can change your mind when new facts appear — that’s growth, not weakness.

You can stand quietly in your beliefs without needing to announce them.

Your mind is one of your greatest assets. Guard it. Feed it carefully. Question what you consume — not just food, but information.

The world doesn’t need more people repeating what they heard. It needs more people who pause, reflect, and form their own understanding.

So take your time. Ask questions. Read widely. Observe patterns. And most importantly — think.

With love,

Papa

[Feb 2026] On choosing your battles

Let your focus remain only on things that matter to you! If you are feeling bored by now, I can’t blame you. I am sure we would not have ever needed these blogs if we could just be around each other. I never needed a letter from my father to learn the values that he taught me. He just lived the values and I only had to watch him live a life of great responsibility, integrity and amazingly sharp intelligence about people and situations.

He came from a very humble background and he stood head and shoulders above those around him because of his intelligence and his ability to work harder than anybody he had known. Still - he never let that go to his head and he always sought out those who needed help, gladly mentoring them up the social ladder. While growing up, I used to be in awe of the number of people who used to credit their success in life to my father. Trust me, I believe that the kind of love and respect he earned in his life - puts him among the wealthiest people I know.

We live in a world of constant distractions and we are surrounded by people who are quite often driven by their own individual goals. It is important to be clear about how you retain your focus on your own goals in life. Only focus and consistency can break you out of ‘status-quo’ and help you make progress in life.

The world at large is full of noise that can engage your mind without giving any tangible outcomes. Learn to filter out what doesn’t seem relevant to your long-term plans and goals. We fight several battles every day - with your device screen time, your TV watch-time, your video games, junk food, bad health and even bad company at times. Learn to choose your battles. Choose the ones that help you become better, not just busier.

You don’t have to react to everything that demands your attention. Not every comment deserves a reply. Not every disagreement needs to be won. Not every provocation is an invitation you must accept. One of the most important skills you will ever learn is knowing when to engage and when to step back.

Your energy is limited, Champ. Time moves on whether you like it or not, but energy gets depleted. Every argument, every distraction, every unnecessary emotional reaction takes something away from you. Spend that energy carefully. Invest it where it compounds—on learning, on health, on relationships that matter, on work that moves you forward.

You’ll soon discover something strange about life:

you can win an argument and still lose peace.

you can prove a point and still feel empty.

Winning is not the same as progressing.

Ego will often push you to fight—fight to be right, fight to be noticed, fight to be acknowledged. Wisdom, on the other hand, quietly asks a better question: Is this worth my time and energy? Many times, walking away is not weakness—it is maturity choosing peace over noise.

Silence is often misunderstood. People think silence means surrender. It doesn’t. Silence can be restraint. Silence can be strategy. Silence can be strength. When you choose not to respond impulsively, you give yourself time to think, to see clearly, and to act deliberately instead of emotionally.

You also don’t need to correct everyone you meet. Not every misunderstanding needs fixing. Not every opinion deserves your explanation. Some lessons are best learned through experience, not words. Save your voice for moments that truly matter—when values are at stake, when dignity is challenged, when someone you care about needs you.

And remember this: the most important battles are not outside you. They are within you.

The battle between patience and impulse.

Between discipline and distraction.

Between long-term growth and short-term comfort.

If you learn to win these internal battles, most external ones will take care of themselves.

Life will constantly try to pull you into unnecessary fights—over attention, over validation, over things that don’t really matter in the long run. Don’t let it. Choose your battles wisely. Fight the ones that build your character. Walk away from the ones that drain your peace.

Because clarity, not conflict, is what will take you far.

With love,

Papa

[Jan proud of everything you ever did and I am confident that you will be even more amazing in 2026 and beyond. While I continue to miss you, I believe that everything happens for a greater good and if this is God’s plan then I shall wait, but I hope and pray that you get stronger, happier, healthier and better with every passing day!

Today - let’s talk about something I strongly believe in, and I know you will too, some day when you are fully grown up. It is about ‘reliability’ or ‘trustworthiness’.

Why is that important? Because long after people forget what you said, or how talented you were, they will remember one simple thing about you — whether they could rely on you.

In a world full of clever words, big promises, and loud intentions, trust has become rare. And because it is rare, it has become incredibly valuable. So if there is one thing you should always aspire to be, it should be: becoming someone who can be trusted.

Trust Is Built Quietly

Most people think trust is built through grand gestures or big moments.

It isn’t.

Trust is built slowly, quietly, and almost invisibly — through consistency.

Not through what you promise, but through what you repeatedly do.

People may not remember your explanations.

They will remember whether you showed up.

Trust Is a Reputation, Not a Claim

Trust is not a personality trait.

It’s a reputation.

And reputations are built over time — through patterns that don’t lie.

People notice whether they have to remind you.

They notice whether you follow through without being chased.

They notice whether your actions match your words.

Even when they say nothing.

The Small Things Matter More Than You Think

Big promises are easy to remember.

Small commitments reveal who you really are.

Returning a call.

Being on time.

Finishing what you started.

Doing what you said you would — especially when no one is watching.

Trust is lost more often through neglect than betrayal.

Your Word Is a Contract With Yourself

Every promise you make is not just a commitment to others —

it is a contract with yourself.

When you break your word, even in small ways, something inside you weakens.

When you keep it, especially when it’s inconvenient, something inside you grows stronger.

Before others trust you, you must trust yourself.

Reliability Creates Safety

People don’t trust those who are unpredictable.

They trust those who are steady.

Being reliable makes others feel calm around you.

It makes them feel safe — emotionally and practically.

That sense of safety is the foundation of friendships, teamwork, and leadership.

Saying “No” Is Sometimes the Most Honest Thing

Being trustworthy doesn’t mean saying yes to everything.

In fact, it often means having the courage to say,

“I can’t,” or

“I won’t be able to do this well.”

Over-committing may look generous, but it slowly erodes trust.

A truthful no builds far more confidence than a careless yes.

Mistakes Don’t Destroy Trust — Avoidance Does

You will make mistakes. Everyone does.

Trust is not destroyed by mistakes.

It is destroyed by hiding, delaying, or pretending nothing went wrong.

When you admit a mistake early and take responsibility, people feel safe with you.

They know you won’t disappear when things get uncomfortable.

Reliability Is Boring — And That’s Its Power

The most trusted people are rarely dramatic.

They don’t seek attention for doing what’s expected.

They don’t announce their effort.

They don’t demand credit.

They simply show up — again and again.

Their strength lies not in intensity, but in steadiness.

Trust Compounds Over Time

At first, no one notices reliability.

Then people begin to rely on you.

And one day, without you asking, opportunities start finding you.

Because trust compounds.

Slowly. Quietly. Powerfully.

A Final Thought

The world is full of talented people.

It is full of smart people.

It is full of loud people.

But it is always in need of people who can be trusted.

So don’t aim to be impressive.

Aim to be dependable.

Because in the end —

Talent impresses people.

Reliability earns them.

With love,

Papa

[Dec 2025] About Hope you are doing wonderfully well.

Writing to you like this, sometimes feels like talking to myself. May be I will never know if you are reading these and getting anything out of these words that I am just putting together. I feel like that labourer who just goes on about his day putting bricks together and joining walls and making floors - without knowing if he will ever live to see the final building when its ready. He still does his job diligently knowing that if he makes a mistake, it might end up ruining the building. So is life, in a nutshell, perhaps. We all have a job to do and we have got to try and do our job the best way we can. Hence, these letters!

It was my birthday last month. Yet another one, without you by my side. You owe me a few ‘Happy Birthdays’ boy! It’s fine. My prayers are with you and May the God and the Supreme Being give you the best of everything in your life because you deserve it all!

Today, I want to tell you about the quiet strength hidden in something most people ignore: simplicity.

Simplicity is not about owning less.
It is about needing less.

It is not about removing things from life.
It is about removing what is unnecessary so that what truly matters can breathe.

The world rewards complication, but maturity chooses simplicity.

Most people believe that making things bigger, louder, or more complex is a sign of intelligence. But as you grow older, you’ll see a strange truth: the wisest people live the simplest lives.

Not empty—simple.
Not boring—clear.
Not minimal—meaningful.

Simplicity doesn’t reduce your life.
It sharpens it.

It helps you see what you want, who you are, and where you’re going without the fog.

Simplicity begins inside you.

The first clutter you must clear is not in your room—it’s in your mind.

The unnecessary anxieties.
The imagined fears.
The overthinking.
The desire to please everyone.

All these things take up space that should belong to your dreams and your peace.

Living simply means you decide what deserves a place in your head—and what does not.

When you choose clarity over chaos, your mind becomes like a calm river: peaceful on the surface, powerful beneath.

Simplicity makes you confident.

There is a unique confidence in people who live lightly.

They don’t chase approval.
They don’t carry emotional burdens longer than needed.
They don’t try to own everything or impress everyone.

Their confidence comes not from having more, but from needing less.

The lighter you travel through life, the more freely you can move, explore, change, and grow. Heavy people—heavy with expectations, possessions, pride or fears—struggle to take even one step forward.

Travel light, Champ.
Not just in luggage—in life.

Simplicity helps you focus on what matters.

Your time, attention, energy, and emotions are limited resources. If you let the world take them, you’ll have nothing left for yourself.

So choose carefully:

Choose a few friends, but true ones.

Choose a few goals, but meaningful ones.

Choose a few habits, but powerful ones.

Choose a few beliefs, but ones worth defending.

Life rewards depth, not spread.

Like a plant—grow deep roots, not just wide branches.

Simplicity is spiritual.

When you strip away the unnecessary, what is left is your essence—your values, your peace, your truth.
This clarity makes you calm.
It makes you aware of your place in the world.
It makes you grateful for the smallest things.

A sunrise.
A conversation.
A walk.
A moment of stillness.

When you live simply, even ordinary things begin to feel extraordinary.

Remember this, Champ:

Living a simple life does not mean having less.
It means having exactly what you need—and nothing else.

It means leaving space for joy, for clarity, for purpose, for yourself.

A simple life is not a small life.
It is a fuller, deeper, lighter, and more intentional one.

And the more you grow, the more you’ll realise:
Simplicity is not the opposite of richness.
It is the foundation of it.

Live light, my son.
The world is easier to navigate when you are not carrying unnecessary weight.

With all my love,
Papa

[Nov 2025] About Self-Respect

Why turn out to be. The strength that is needed for me to get over this pain, can’t be imagined but I have complete faith in the Supreme Power that is up there looking out for you. With every breath, I let out a prayer and a hope that this is all part of some design to ultimately make us stronger.

We don’t question fate when something doesn’t work in our favor, we simply put our head down and work harder—creating better opportunities for ourselves and getting rid of our weaknesses so that the next time when an opportunity emerges, we are prepared to handle it and come out as winners. Because ultimately, sooner or later, it is your truth, your honesty to yourself, and your hard work & faith that will determine how your life turns out to be.

In this letter, I want to share a few things about self-respect. You might hear quite often about people who sacrificed their entire world just to fight for their self-respect. It would make you wonder—why is self-respect so precious that people go to extreme lengths to protect it?

Because self-respect is not about ego — it’s about dignity.

Ego screams, but self-respect stands tall in silence. Ego wants to win, but self-respect only wants to stay true. When people compromise on self-respect, they start losing their voice, their courage, and eventually, their identity.

Self-respect is the quiet strength inside you that says, “I might fail, I might fall, but I will never betray myself.”

You see, the world will often test you—not always by asking you to do wrong things, but by tempting you with small compromises that “seem harmless.”

A lie to fit in.

A silence to please others.

A shortcut to reach faster.

In those moments, you won’t lose a job or a friend if you give in—but you might lose a little part of yourself.

That’s how self-respect fades—not in one big blow, but in small, silent surrenders.

Self-respect means knowing your worth even when no one else does.

There will be times when you’ll be underestimated. People might doubt your abilities, question your choices, or even make you feel “less.” Don’t try to prove them wrong just to win approval.

Instead, remember: You were never defined by others’ opinions in the first place.

When you walk away from something that doesn’t feel right, even if it means losing something valuable, that’s self-respect.

When you say “no” to something that goes against your values, even when it’s inconvenient, that’s self-respect.

And when you stand by your principles, even if you stand alone, that’s self-respect.

Self-respect builds invisible armor.

You can lose money, jobs, or even people—but if your self-respect stays intact, you’ll always have the strength to rebuild.

History is full of examples—great men and women who could be broken but not bent.

Think of Mahatma Gandhi—physically frail but unshakable in spirit.

Think of Bhishma Pitamah, who gave up everything but never wavered from his word.

They understood something powerful: Self-respect isn’t given by the world; it’s protected from the world.

Self-respect doesn’t mean arrogance.

It doesn’t mean you think you’re better than others. It simply means you don’t allow anyone—including yourself—to treat you with less than the dignity you deserve.

The secret is balance:

Be humble enough to learn from everyone, but confident enough to never be walked over.

Be kind, but never at the cost of your self-worth.

People will respect you when you respect yourself. But even if they don’t—it’s fine. Because respect that’s forced isn’t worth having.

Remember this, Champ:

There will be days when life won’t be fair. You might lose to people who cheat, or get hurt by those you trusted. In those moments, don’t let bitterness steal your integrity.

Because when the world looks away and you still choose what’s right, that’s when you grow taller in your own eyes.

You can rebuild a career, a reputation, even relationships — but rebuilding self-respect takes the longest. So protect it like a sacred treasure.

Be the boy who looks in the mirror and can say,

“I didn’t let the world change the good in me.”

That, my son, is what true victory looks like.

With love,

Papa ❤️

[Oct 2025] About Dreams and There was so much excitement about the potential that lay ahead. I would dream of so many things that I would accomplish in my life.

Looking back, I can say that everything good I have managed to achieve till date, I owe it to the dreams of that little boy I was decades ago. Of course, it took a lot of help and support from everyone who became my pillars, along the way, but the fuel that kept driving me forward, was made entirely of those dreams that found a place somewhere in the core of my heart.

So, today, I want to talk to you about — our dreams and desires.

When I say “dreams,” I don’t just mean what we see at night when we’re asleep. I mean those bright, bold visions that live inside us — the ones that tell us what we want to become, what we want to do, and how we want to live. And “desires” are the sparks that keep those dreams alive, pushing us to chase them, even when the path looks tough.

Dreams Give You Direction 🚀

Think of dreams as a compass. They don’t tell you every step of the journey, but they point you in the right direction. A dream can be as big as wanting to change the world, or as simple as wanting to be a kind, good human who makes life better for the people around him.

Without dreams, life can feel like wandering in circles. With them, every day feels like a step forward — even if it’s just a small one.

Desires Are Your Fuel 🔥

Desires, on the other hand, are what make you wake up in the morning with excitement. They’re the hunger in your heart. But here’s the trick: not all desires are equal.

Some desires are like junk food — they taste good for a moment but leave you empty after. Others are like wholesome meals — they keep you strong, focused, and healthy for the long run.

The key is to learn which desires to feed. For example, the desire to impress everyone may fade, but the desire to learn, grow, and love deeply will carry you through life with pride.

Balance Between Dreams and Reality ⚖️

Chasing dreams doesn’t mean ignoring reality. Life will test you. Sometimes you’ll achieve what you want; other times, you’ll fall short. But that’s not failure — it’s growth.

Desires can sometimes cloud our judgment if we don’t balance them with patience and clarity. It’s okay to want big things — in fact, I want you to dream the biggest dreams possible! But remember: it’s the daily habits, the small consistent steps, that turn those dreams into reality.

A Gentle Reminder 🌱

Dreams and desires are beautiful, but they should never make you feel restless or small. They should inspire you, not crush you. If a dream starts to feel like a burden, pause. Revisit why you had it in the first place. Maybe the dream needs to change, or maybe you have grown and your desires have matured.

And that’s perfectly okay.

My Wish for You 🌟

My dear son, may you always:

Dream big enough to stretch your heart and mind.

Desire deeply enough to give your life fire and purpose.

Stay grounded enough to know the difference between fleeting wants and lasting fulfillment.

Be brave enough to follow your dreams, even when no one else believes in them yet.

Always remember: dreams are seeds, desires are water, and your actions are the sunlight. With all three, you can make anything bloom.

Love you infinity times infinity,

Papa ❤️

[Sep 2025] About Mindset

It is our mindset that ultimately determines who we become! That’s how its always going to be!

I can’t believe this is already the 21st letter I’m writing to you. Each of these notes is a piece of my heart — a quiet conversation between us, written with the hope that one day, you’ll sit with them the way you sit with a trusted friend.

Before I add further to everything I have communicated so far, I think it might be worthwhile to look back and connect the dots of everything that has been covered in these blogs.

So, here you go:

1. Live Like Kings

Not by ruling others, but by ruling yourself. Stay away from the victim mindset. With courage and resilience your destiny is just yours to shape. Nobody can hurt you without your permission.

2. God, Faith, and Perspectives

Whether you are a believer, non-believer, or somewhere in between, let faith guide you toward kindness, strength, and peace. True faith never divides — it unites.

3. Build a Code to Live By

Integrity and duty are anchors. Decide your values early, and let them guide your choices when the world tries to sway you.

4. Relationships & People

Family, friends, and mentors leave their imprint on you. Value relationships built on honesty and love. They are the real magic fuel of life.

5. Happiness, Purpose, Goals & Habits

Lasting happiness isn’t found in quick pleasures, but in aligning your habits with your purpose. Build habits that pull you closer to the life you dream of.

6. Managing Change

Life changes like seasons. Some harsh, some gentle. Trust your instincts, adapt, and always look for your North Star.

7. Embrace Fear, Light, and Darkness

Courage isn’t about having no fear — it’s about moving forward despite it. And just as day needs night, strength often grows in moments of darkness.

8. Patience and Silence

Patience and silence are quiet strengths. They aren’t weakness; they are preparation. Wait calmly, listen deeply, and then act with clarity.

9. Being the Lighthouse

In your storms, be a source of light — for yourself and others. Even when everything feels uncertain, trust that in the end, things will turn out okay.

10. Boundaries & Choices

Saying “No” when it matters is as powerful as saying “Yes” to what truly aligns with you. And when decisions feel hard — seek clarity, know the risks, and trust your values.

Phew, that’s a lot to process! Of course, you need to discover life on your own and learn your own lessons. All I hope to accomplish with these messages is to just ensure that you develop a strong MINDSET, since that is the most important thing that can put you ahead of everyone else - no matter where you are, in what condition you are in and what challenges you might be facing. A great mindset trumps everything!

I fully trust your ability to grow into a strong and smart individual! Per chance, if you happen to face some disappointment, a setback or some pain - just have faith in yourself and let time heal things out for you! At times, when nothing seems to be going your way, you just need to take your time and focus on YOU getting stronger, since that is ONE thing that will ALWAYS remain in your control.

Keep growing. Keep shining. And never stop believing in the incredible person you are becoming and you deserve to be!

Love you infinity times infinity,
Your Papa day, so that one day I can see you again.

We all have a thousand reasons every day to give up and just fail. We need just one reason to stand up and move forward. For me, among all the reasons that I can think of - you, and ‘making you proud’ are the big ones!

There is a version of you that I keep remembering and I know that version is probably not there anymore but you should know that it was there at some point of time, and as long as I live, I will remember that little champ who would curl up in my arms and just go to sleep. Countless times, I would lovingly pick you up from the car, after our long drives, and take you to your bed. In those few seconds, it would feel like a mission and completing that task successfully, would always feel like an achievement that would make my day.

There was a particular tune that I used to hum while putting you to sleep. I still hum it at times.

Anybody else reading this, would probably not get it.

It is pain, like nothing else - to see you every where, but find you nowhere. But I don’t mind it! I accept it as a blessing and I know there is a power somewhere that is looking out for you and when the time is right, this pain will turn into something beautiful.

Be safe, be amazing and may God always be there to protect you and help you with everything you need.

Here is my thought for this month - not some gyan! Just an insight, that will hopefully make sense to you some day!

It is about - decision-making!

You know, it is not that simple, at times to decide which way to go. I mean - at your age, you probably find it tough to choose between an ice-cream and a pizza! Or between a cola and a lime juice, assuming that you are given a choice and you have to choose one.

As you grow up though, those choices become harder and harder. Which career to choose? Which friends to hang out with? Which girl to marry? Then you make a family of your own and you find yourself helping them make choices for their future as well.

So - is there a trick to decide? I wish I could say yes - but no, there is no trick to decide. Some would say - go with your heart. Others would say think long and hard. And some might tell you to just go with your instincts!

All appropriate responses - depending on their context and what they want in life.

However, what I have found is that when it comes to decisions that truly make a lasting impact on your life or someone else’s life - it is very important to follow 2 thumb-rules!

GET CLARITY

KNOW RISKS

CLARITY: Without clarity, you won’t know what you are choosing - so this is quite an obvious requirement. However, a lot of us just jump into whatever looks easier, more comfortable and profitable in the short term. We tend to choose a small payoff now and reject the larger payoff later - simply because as humans, we are wired to avoid immediate pain.

Some of us don’t even go to the extent of understanding short-term and long-term - and simply decide based on what appears to be good - in the moment! That is why anger is your biggest enemy and patience is your most loyal friend. Anger clouds your judgement and makes you forget about the consequences of your actions. Patience - on the other hand - tells you to look at the larger picture and choose the path that would work better for you in the long run.

Just remember, you can’t get clarity - without asking tough questions that may seem uncomfortable or inconvenient - but are absolutely critical for us to know everything you need to know before taking a decision.

In the real world, experienced businessmen call this ‘DUE DILIGENCE’ and they don’t take their decisions without asking all the questions that require clear and verifiable answers.

RISKS: Once you have gathered all the information you could, you have got to sit down and weigh all your options and the one thing that you absolutely must watch out for is RISKS. Every choice that we make - has risks attached to those choices. Those risks are easy to ignore because we tend to make assumptions and go with FAITH & BELIEFS - when we need to go with REALITY & FACTS staring us in our face. That’s how battles are lost and empires are crushed! You know the ‘Trojan Horse’ story? Look it up.

In the end - we all make mistakes! Decision making - is a skill that we learn over time. But the faster we learn - the better our lives are going to be. So - don’t waste your ‘failures’ - they are all teaching you something important. No point in crying over spilt milk or whatever you have lost or failed to get.

Evaluate → Improve → Evaluate.

That’s all - buddy! Hope you are truly taking good care of yourself! You are your BIGGEST responsibility. So - eat well, exercise, drink water, avoid junk food, avoid sugar - and in general, make smart choices! These are the little decisions that - if taken right, help you the most - when the time for bigger decisions comes up!

Love you!

Your Papa!

[Jul 2025] Silence as Strength

Sometimes the quietest response holds the most silence.

We live in a world that celebrates noise — fast replies, constant opinions, loud personalities, and 24/7 updates. Everyone seems to be saying something all the time.

Somehow, silence gets mistaken for weakness.

But here’s what I’ve learned — and what I want you to know:

Silence isn’t weakness. It’s strength.

In fact, sometimes silence is the most powerful thing you can offer — to yourself and to others.

Silence is not surrender

People often confuse silence with submission.

They think staying quiet means you’re scared, unsure, or don’t care.

But silence doesn’t mean you’re okay with something unfair or wrong.

It simply means you’re choosing to gather your thoughts before you speak.

It means you care about the impact of your words —

and you’re not just reacting, but responding.

It’s easy to lash out.

It’s much harder to pause and think.

When you’re silent in the face of chaos, you’re not being passive. You’re being powerful.

You’re saying: “I won’t be dragged into noise. I will choose my moment. I will choose my way.”

Silence is not enduring injustice

This is important.

Silence does not mean tolerating bad behavior.

It doesn’t mean staying quiet when something wrong is happening.

In those moments, your voice is necessary.

But even then —

your silence before speaking can be your greatest weapon.

It allows you to center yourself.

To breathe.

To choose clarity over anger, and peace over panic.

When used wisely, silence doesn’t mean ignoring injustice.

It means deciding how to fight it in the most effective way.

Silence is protection

There are moments in life when speaking immediately will only make things worse:

– A heated argument

– A misunderstanding with a friend

– A situation where your feelings are too raw to express clearly

In those moments, silence is a pause button.

A way to protect your energy and your relationships.

It says:

“I care too much about this to say the wrong thing right now.”

Silence helps you grow

When you’re silent, you’re observing.

You’re absorbing more than just words —

you’re watching body language, sensing emotion, and listening to what’s not being said.

In silence, you notice what others miss.

And with every quiet reflection, your inner world grows stronger.

You learn about yourself.

You understand others better.

You make better decisions.

Silence builds respect

When you speak less, people listen more.

Strange, but true.

Those who speak constantly often lose their voice in the noise.

But those who speak after listening are remembered.

People don’t just notice your words — they begin to notice your silences.

And when you do speak, your words carry weight.

Because they come from thought, not ego.

Final thoughts

One of the most powerful things you’ll ever learn is to choose your silence.

Not as a shield to hide behind.

But as a tool — to think, to protect your peace, and to build your strength.

Use silence not to escape the world,

but to understand it better.

Don’t be afraid to pause.

Don’t be afraid to breathe.

Don’t be afraid to say nothing,

until you’re ready to say something that matters.

And never mistake silence for inaction —

because the quietest moment often prepares you for your strongest move.

I’m always with you — in words, in silence, and in every space in between.

With all my love,

Papa

[Jun 2025] The Power of Saying me because that father really wants the best for you. If God has shut down every other path for me, I am thankful to the Universe that in some ways this path remains open. These are not just some random thoughts that I put together. I try and live this conversation every time I post it. I try and imagine how you would react if I was saying these words to you in person.

The cover images that I have put up for these letters - reflect that imagination for me. When you step out, you will see an ocean of people around you and when you deal with the challenges of day to day life, I want you to know that these letters are not just words - these are my messages to the whole Universe to look out for you and guide you forward through each and every challenge you ever face.

May you always be surrounded by loving, kind and honest people!

May you always have the ambition to be the best, the intelligence to figure out your path, and the courage to walk confidently and peacefully towards your goals!

May you always have peace and happiness in your life, no matter the circumstances you find yourself in!

Now, onto the topic for this letter: something that I believe is crucial for all of us to know and understand! It is quite simply, the power of ‘No’.

This word can feel really small, but holds the power to change your life: “No.”

It’s one of the first words we learn as babies. And yet, as we grow older, it somehow becomes harder and harder to use.

We say “yes” to things we don’t want to do, just to avoid disappointing someone.

We say “yes” to staying quiet, even when our heart is screaming.

We say “yes” to following others, even when our gut tells us to go the other way.

But here’s the truth I want you to always remember:

Every time you say “no” to something that doesn’t feel right, you say “yes” to yourself.

You protect your time, your energy, your dreams, and most importantly — your peace.

⸻

Saying No Is Not About Being Rude

Some people think that saying “no” is selfish, disrespectful, or cold.

It’s not.

Saying “no” is a way of respecting your values, your priorities, and your well-being.

Imagine if you spent your whole day saying “yes” to everything — helping everyone, going everywhere, doing whatever people asked. You’d end the day tired, stressed, and probably feeling like you didn’t do anything that mattered to you.

Now imagine a day where you carefully chose what to say “yes” to — and confidently said “no” to what didn’t feel right. You’d end the day with energy, focus, and pride.

⸻

You Don’t Owe Everyone a “Yes”

You don’t owe your time to people who don’t respect you.

You don’t owe your energy to things that drain you.

You don’t owe your silence to situations where speaking up is the right thing to do.

Being kind doesn’t mean being a doormat.

Being generous doesn’t mean being available 24/7.

You are allowed to draw a line.

⸻

When to Say “No”

Here’s a simple test: If it makes you feel anxious, small, unimportant, unsafe, or disconnected from your values — that’s a sign to consider saying “no.”

And yes, it will be hard sometimes.

You might lose people.

You might feel alone for a bit.

But what you’ll gain is far more valuable — self-respect, clarity, and the space to grow into the person you’re meant to be.

⸻

Saying “No” Is Saying “Yes” to Bigger Things

When you say “no” to distractions, you say “yes” to your goals.

When you say “no” to peer pressure, you say “yes” to your strength.

When you say “no” to negativity, you say “yes” to peace.

Every “no” is a doorway — closing one path, so a better one can open.

⸻

I hope you grow up to be someone who knows his boundaries — and defends them with calm confidence.

Not because you want to push people away.

But because you know the value of your time, your dreams, and your heart.

Saying “no” is a superpower.

Use it wisely.

That’s all for this letter! In the end, just remember that you will never be alone. I have put so much love for you out in this Universe, that the Universe has no choice but to look out for you. With all my heart and all my soul, I miss you and I continue to wait!

With all my heart,

Papa

[May 2025] The Art of smartest.

I thought that quick replies, sharp comebacks, and fast opinions showed confidence and intelligence.

And honestly, for a while, it worked.

But then one day, something small but unforgettable happened.

I was sitting in a group discussion at school, and there was this quiet boy — his name was Ankit.

He hardly ever spoke.

While the rest of us were busy jumping over each other’s words, showing off what we knew, Ankit just sat there, listening.

He didn’t interrupt. He didn’t rush. He didn’t try to prove anything.

And when the teacher finally asked him for his opinion, Ankit said just a few sentences.

But they were so thoughtful, so perfectly connected to everything that had been said — it was like he had stitched together all the loose pieces we didn’t even realize were floating around.

The room went silent.

Everyone — including me — realized that Ankit had understood far more than the rest of us combined.

He hadn’t just heard our words — he had listened.

That day, I realized something I have carried with me ever since:

The smartest person in the room isn’t always the loudest.

Often, it’s the one who listens the best.

And that’s what I want to talk to you about today — the quiet, powerful, and life-changing art of listening.

Because real listening — deep, full-hearted listening — will make you wiser, stronger, and more loved than almost anything else you can learn.

Let me share a few things I wish someone had told me back then…

Listening is a Superpower, Not a Weakness

In today’s world, everyone wants to be heard.

Very few want to truly listen.

If you can master the art of deep listening, you will stand out — quietly, but unmistakably.

You’ll notice things others miss.

You’ll understand problems more clearly.

You’ll build trust with people faster than the ones who are always rushing to speak.

Listening isn’t about staying silent.

It’s about staying open.

Listening Trains Your Mind for Patience and Focus

When you listen without trying to interrupt, your mind learns patience.

And patience is one of life’s greatest hidden strengths.

Focus is the natural child of patience.

When you listen deeply, your mind stops jumping from one thought to another — and starts paying full attention.

And when your attention sharpens, your ability to learn, work, and succeed sharpens too.

Listening Builds Better Relationships

Rushank, people don’t always remember exactly what you say to them.

But they will always remember how you made them feel.

When you listen — truly listen — you make people feel seen, heard, and valued.

That is one of the greatest gifts you can give anyone.

It’s more valuable than advice.

More powerful than compliments.

Good listeners build strong friendships, meaningful partnerships, and lasting bonds — because they connect heart to heart, not just word to word.

Listening Reveals What’s Not Being Said

Words tell you the surface story.

But pauses, silences, body language, and tones tell you the real one.

A good listener learns to hear beyond words.

You’ll start noticing when someone is hurting but says they’re “fine.”

You’ll sense hesitation, excitement, fear — things that aren’t directly spoken.

This makes you wiser in life — whether you’re working with people, leading a team, loving a family, or making important decisions.

Practice Active Listening, Not Passive Hearing

Listening is not just about being quiet.

It’s about being active.

When someone talks to you:

Look at them.

Put away your phone.

Respond thoughtfully.

Ask good follow-up questions.

Summarize what you heard to make sure you understood.

Good listeners aren’t born.

They are made — by small, conscious choices like these, repeated over and over.

Listening Makes You a Lifelong Learner

Every person you meet knows something you don’t.

If you approach conversations with curiosity rather than judgment, every interaction becomes a classroom.

You grow faster because you aren’t just living your life — you’re learning from the experiences, mistakes, and wisdom of everyone around you.

Stay curious. Stay humble. Stay teachable.

The Best Leaders, Partners, and Friends Are the Best Listeners

Leadership is not about commanding.

It’s about understanding.

The best leaders listen first, then speak.

They tune into the fears, hopes, and dreams of the people they lead.

They don’t assume — they ask, they absorb, and then they act.

The best friendships, too, are built on listening — not on endless talking.

Listening shows love, respect, and trust without shouting about it.

Final Thoughts

Rushank,

as you grow older, you’ll meet many people who will try to shout over others to get ahead.

But you — you will know better.

You’ll know that in the noise of the world, it is often the quietest voice — the one that listens — that holds the deepest strength.

Keep listening.

Keep learning.

And always, always keep your heart open.

I’m proud of you — always.

With love,

Papa

Happy Birthday!

You are amazing & I will always love you! you have changed. You are no longer the kid who used to miss me while I was away working in office. You are no longer the kid who would come to me when he needed something.

Although you have no idea how shattered I feel thinking that you may never need me, I believe everything will turn out great in the end! You will become an amazing person and we will catch up over coffee or any other beverage you may grow up to like, one day!

I pray to God, that He would be there with you every step of your way and guide you in the right direction whenever you feel lost or helpless.

I will always love you and I will miss you till my last breath. It’s a pain that I will carry with my soul for eternity. I don’t mind that pain actually. I am thankful to God that he let me experience this love that I have for you. I will never forget the day I saw you take birth. I will never forget how we walked, ran and played our games together. I will never forget you.

You will continue to inspire me. I want my life to be devoted to things that will make you proud the day when you will finally be able to come across and say ‘hello, papa’. That day will come, hopefully before I die. If it doesn’t, just know this - that you will always be the last memory that I will try to remember when I leave this world.

I love you. Nothing more needs to be said to you. Nothing else matters.

[Mar 2025] The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens

Be proactive, set goals, prioritize wisely, think win-win, listen, collaborate, and take care of yourself. Needless to say, but I miss you a lot and every day and every minute I pray to Almighty to look out for you in every way possible and to give you strength wherever and whenever you need it to help you find your way ahead and come out happier, stronger and better than ever before.

In this month’s letter, I thought I would pick a book popularly available and try to read it out for you - in a way!

So - here it goes, a book review or summary or whatever you want to call it - of ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens’. I know you are still 2 years away from becoming a Teen - but kids are growing faster these days and this book was written a long time ago, so I am sure the lessons there would be applicable or useful even for you at this age.

This book talks about 7 Habits that young kids like yourself, should try and imbibe in their day to day life:

Habit 1: Be Proactive – Take Charge of Your Life

Think of life like a game. You can either play actively or sit on the bench watching. Proactive people take responsibility for their actions instead of blaming others.

In other words, proactive people are focused more on taking action that could lead to immediate ‘impact’/’results’ rather than waiting around for things to be done by others.

It also means that if something goes wrong, instead of saying, “It’s not my fault!” ask yourself, “What can I do to fix this?”

Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind – Have a Goal

Imagine playing a football match without goalposts—how would you know where to score? Life is the same way. If you don’t have clear goals, you might feel lost.

Similarly, think about what kind of person you want to be. What do you want to achieve? Start taking small steps toward it now.

Habit 3: Put First Things First – Prioritize Wisely

This is one of the most important habits: Learn to manage your time! Instead of wasting time on distractions, make sure you do what’s important first.

As a thumb rule, get into the habit of regularly asking yourself: “Is this helping me become better, or am I just wasting time?”

The Gita says:

“युक्ताहारविहारस्य युक्तचेष्टस्य कर्मसु।” (Gita 6.17)

Translation: Balance in eating, working, and relaxing leads to success.

Prioritizing means knowing when to work hard and when to rest—balance is key!

Habit 4: Think Win-Win – Success is Not a Competition

Too often, people believe that if someone wins, someone else must lose. But true success comes when everyone wins.

Whenever you think of anybody else e.g. a friend, a colleague, a cousin or a classmate, instead of feeling jealous of his/her success, help them grow while growing yourself. A win-win attitude will earn you lifelong friendships and respect.

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood – Listen More

Do you know what most people’s biggest mistake is? They listen to reply, not to understand.

Never make that mistake. If you truly listen when someone speaks, you’ll earn their trust and learn more about them.

The Bhagavad Gita teaches:

“श्रद्धावान् लभते ज्ञानं।” (Gita 4.39)

Translation: A person who listens with faith and patience gains true wisdom.

Habit 6: Synergize – Work Well with Others

Imagine trying to build a house alone. Difficult, right? But if everyone works together, the work gets done faster and better.

Learning to work with people, respect differences, and collaborate will take you much further in life than trying to do everything alone.

Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw – Take Care of Yourself

A woodcutter who never sharpens his saw will soon struggle to cut trees. The same applies to life—if you don’t take care of your body, mind, and emotions, you won’t be able to perform well.

Eat well, exercise, read, relax, and spend time with good people—these are the things that “sharpen” your mind and body.

Final Thoughts:

I don’t think that these habits are the only habits that you will need, however these are definitely some of the most important ones.

I am excitedly looking forward to the day when you will do amazing things and I will be the proudest father in the whole wide world!

Love you infinity times infinity!

[Feb 2025] The Kumbh Mela and the Power of Faith

The Kumbh Mela shows faith’s power—believing in something bigger. take every few years in India. It’s called the Kumbh Mela, and it’s one of the largest gatherings of people on Earth. But it’s not just about the crowd; it’s about something much deeper: faith.

What is the Kumbh Mela?

The Kumbh Mela is a huge festival where people come together to bathe in sacred rivers like the Ganges, Yamuna, and Godavari. It happens every 12 years in four different places in India, and it’s based on an ancient story from Hindu mythology. Legend has it that gods and demons fought over a pot (or kumbh) of nectar that could make anyone immortal. During the fight, a few drops of this nectar fell into these rivers, making them holy.

People travel from all over the world to take part in this festival. Some walk for hundreds of miles, carrying little more than their faith. They don’t do it for money, fame, or even guarantees. They do it because they believe in something bigger than themselves.

Faith: The Invisible Force

Faith is like an invisible force, Champ. It’s what keeps people going even when the journey is tough. Imagine walking for days, with no promise of a reward at the end. No one is handing out trophies or medals at the Kumbh Mela. The reward is the journey itself—the feeling of being part of something greater, of connecting with millions of others who share the same belief.

Faith gives people hope. It gives them strength. And when you have faith, you don’t need immediate rewards. The journey becomes the reward.

This reminds me of a verse from the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 2, Verse 47):
"Karmanye vadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachana."
It means, "You have the right to work, but never to the fruit of work." In other words, do your best without worrying about the results. When you focus on the journey—on doing the right thing—the results will take care of themselves.

Faith in the Greater Good

The Kumbh Mela isn’t just about individuals; it’s about the greater good. People come together to pray, to help one another, and to celebrate life. They don’t do it for themselves; they do it for their families, their communities, and their beliefs.

This idea of working for the greater good is something I want you to think about, Champ. When you focus on helping others, something magical happens. People start to support you, not because you asked them to, but because they believe in what you’re doing.

Another verse from the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 6, Verse 5) says:
"Uddhared atmanatmanam natmanam avasadayet."
It means, "Elevate yourself by your own efforts, and do not degrade yourself." When you work for the greater good, you elevate not just yourself but everyone around you.

Finding Your Purpose

The Kumbh Mela teaches us that faith isn’t just about believing in something; it’s about taking action. It’s about finding a purpose that makes life better for others. Whether it’s educating, empowering, entertaining, or serving, when you focus on reducing inconvenience or solving problems, you become part of something bigger.

And here’s the secret, Champ: when you work for the greater good, your own needs start getting fulfilled without you even asking. It’s like the universe rewards you for being selfless.

One last verse from the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 12, Verse 13) sums it up beautifully:
"Adveshta sarva-bhutanam maitrah karuna eva cha."
It means, "One who hates no creature, who is friendly and compassionate to all, such a person is dear to Me." When you work for the greater good, you become a force of positivity in the world.

The Journey is the Reward

So, remember this: life is a lot like the Kumbh Mela. It’s not about the destination; it’s about the journey. Have faith in something bigger than yourself. Believe in great ideas that can inspire others. Work for the greater good, and you’ll find that the journey itself becomes the reward.

Just like the millions who walk to the Kumbh Mela, you too can embark on your own journey of faith. And when you do, you’ll discover that faith gives you hope, strength, and the courage to keep going—no matter how tough the path may seem.

Love you infinity times infinity!

P.S. Next time you see a big challenge, think of the Kumbh Mela. Remember, the journey is the reward!

[Jan 2025] The Power of Patience: Winning Life’s Battles One Step at a Time

Patience leads to long-term success by helping you stay calm, make wise decisions, and focus on what truly matters. As we welcome 2025, I want to share something with you that I believe can shape your entire journey ahead. If there’s one quality I wish for you to carry into this year and beyond, it’s patience.

You might wonder—what makes patience so important? Let me explain it like this: a patient mind can win a thousand battles at once. When you are patient, you can step back, understand the problems in front of you, and deal with them without letting your emotions or biases get in the way. And trust me, that can make all the difference in life.

Why Patience is the Greatest Strength

Think of patience like having a superpower. Imagine two people trying to untangle a knot. One person gets frustrated and pulls the knot tighter, making things worse. The other person calmly works at each twist and turn until the knot unravels. Who do you think succeeds?

In the same way, life often presents us with “knots” — problems that feel hard to solve. A patient mind untangles them one by one. Impatience, on the other hand, only pulls the knot tighter.

The Bhagavad Gita teaches:

“धैर्यं सर्वत्र विजयी भवति।”

(Dhairyam Sarvatra Vijayi Bhavati)

Translation: Patience leads to victory in all situations.

When you stay calm and patient, even the hardest situations begin to fall into place.

Patience Helps You Make Better Choices

One of the biggest mistakes people make is rushing after things that give immediate pleasure but don’t lead to true happiness. Whether it’s chasing quick success, fame, or instant rewards, these short-term gains often distract us from the bigger picture.

But a patient person knows how to prioritize long-term happiness over fleeting moments of joy. It’s like choosing to plant a tree that will give fruit for years rather than picking all the flowers today and having nothing left for tomorrow.

The Gita reminds us:

“न हि कश्चित्क्षणमपि जातु तिष्ठत्यकर्मकृत्।”

(Gita 3.5)

Translation: No one can remain without action, even for a moment.

This verse tells us that life keeps moving, but it’s the choices we make with patience and thoughtfulness that shape our path forward.

How Patience Can Win Battles

Let me tell you something interesting—most battles in life aren’t won by force or intelligence alone. They’re won by patience. Why? Because patience gives you the power to:

1. Separate Problems: Instead of getting overwhelmed by everything at once, you can break problems down into smaller, manageable pieces.

2. Stay Calm: Patience allows you to respond thoughtfully instead of reacting impulsively.

3. Avoid Mistakes: Rushed decisions often lead to mistakes, but patient decisions are made with care.

4. Earn Respect: People naturally trust and respect those who are calm and patient.

Here’s a powerful thought from the Gita:

“युक्ताहारविहारस्य युक्तचेष्टस्य कर्मसु।

युक्तस्वप्नावबोधस्य योगो भवति दुःखहा॥”

(Gita 6.17)

Translation: A person who is balanced in eating, sleeping, working, and recreation can remove all sorrow through steady practice.

Patience brings balance to life. It teaches you when to wait, when to act, and when to let things take their natural course.

The Mistake of Rushing After Short-Term Gains

One of the biggest traps people fall into is chasing things that seem urgent but aren’t really important. This happens because impatience tricks our mind into thinking that we need everything right now.

But think about it — would you rather eat one candy now or wait patiently for a whole cake later? In life, many people choose the “candy” and miss out on the bigger rewards that patience brings.

The Bhagavad Gita offers this advice:

“श्रेयान्स्वधर्मो विगुणः परधर्मात्स्वनुष्ठितात्।”

(Gita 3.35)

Translation: It is better to follow one’s own path patiently, even if imperfectly, than to rush after someone else’s path perfectly.

The lesson? Stay patient, follow your own journey, and let others chase shortcuts. True success takes time.

Be the Calm Navigator of Your Life

Think of yourself as the navigator of a great ship. The ocean might be stormy, and the waves may try to push you off course. But with patience, you can hold the wheel steady and guide your ship safely forward.

You can’t control the storms, but you can control how you sail through them.

A New Year, A New Beginning

As we begin 2025, I hope you remember this simple but powerful lesson: Patience is your greatest ally. When things get tough, take a deep breath and let patience guide you.

Don’t rush after the wrong things, and don’t get discouraged by the slow pace of progress. Like the lighthouse that stands tall and unshaken by the sea, let patience keep your inner light shining bright.

Happy New Year, champ! Let’s make 2025 a year of calm, focus, and quiet victories.

Love you infinity times infinity!

[Dec 2024] Be the Lighthouse: Lessons for a Brighter New Year

Takeaways: As the year closes, absorb the lessons and reject anything that makes you upset, angry or negative towards others. It’s when we look back at the year that has passed and start thinking about what lies ahead. Just like you clean your room before a new school term, this is a good time to clean your mind and heart too. Let’s talk about how to take only the good moments and important lessons with us while leaving behind the things that weigh us down.

Be Like a Sieve: Retain the Good, Let Go of the Bad

Imagine you’re holding a sieve. When you pour sand and tiny stones into it, the sieve keeps the useful bits and lets go of the rest. Life is like that too. Each year brings good memories, lessons, and challenges. While it’s important to learn from the tough times, you don’t have to carry their weight into the new year.

The Bhagavad Gita reminds us:

“यदृच्छालाभसन्तुष्टो द्वन्द्वातीतो विमत्सरः।

समः सिद्धावसिद्धौ च कृत्वापि न निबध्यते॥”

(Gita 4.22)

Translation: A person who is content with what comes by chance, free from dualities like joy and sorrow, and not envious, is not bound by their actions.

This means that instead of clinging to what made us upset or angry, we should practice letting go. If you hold on to the bad things, they can burst open later like a bag of spoiled food, creating problems for you and others. So, take the lessons, but leave behind the baggage.

Be Like a Lighthouse: A Beacon of Hope

Have you seen a lighthouse? It stands tall on the shore, shining a bright light for ships in the dark sea. The lighthouse doesn’t focus on the storms or the waves—it focuses on guiding others to safety. You can be like a lighthouse, carrying within you a light so strong that it becomes a source of hope for others.

The Gita teaches:

“तस्मात्सर्वेषु कालेषु योगयुक्तो भवार्जुन।

योगो हि कर्मसु कौशलम्॥”

(Gita 2.50)

Translation: Therefore, always remain connected with your inner purpose. Yoga is the skill in performing actions wisely.

By focusing on being your best self, you can inspire and guide others, just like the lighthouse. Carry your inner light into the new year, leaving behind the darkness of past disappointments or regrets.

Be Like a Navigator: Look Ahead, Not Behind

Think about a navigator on a ship. They use a map to guide the ship forward, not to dwell on the wrong turns or mistakes they made earlier. You can learn from your past, but don’t let it pull you back. Worry about taking the next step, not the ones you already took.

Here’s a beautiful lesson from the Bhagavad Gita:

“उद्धरेदात्मनाऽऽत्मानं नात्मानमवसादयेत्।

आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मनः॥”

(Gita 6.5)

Translation: One must lift oneself by one’s own efforts and not degrade oneself. The self is both a friend and an enemy to the individual.

This verse reminds us to focus on lifting ourselves up and not letting our past mistakes weigh us down. The next step is always more important than the last one.

Let the Past Stay in the Past, but Keep Its Lessons

The past is like a book you’ve already read. You don’t need to carry the entire book with you, but you can keep its most important lessons in your mind. These lessons will help you when you need guidance.

One last thought from the Gita:

“सुखदुःखे समे कृत्वा लाभालाभौ जयाजयौ।

ततो युद्धाय युज्यस्व नैवं पापमवाप्स्यसि॥”

(Gita 2.38)

Translation: Treat happiness and sorrow, gain and loss, victory and defeat equally. Then, engage with life’s challenges without hesitation.

This means that no matter what the past year brought—happy moments, struggles, successes, or failures—you should take it all in stride. Don’t let it define you or hold you back. Instead, take its wisdom and step into the new year with strength.

A New Year, A New Light

So, my champ, as we step into 2025, remember to be like a sieve, a lighthouse, and a navigator. Keep the good memories and lessons, shine brightly for yourself and others, and look forward to the journey ahead. Leave behind any heaviness, and start the new year with hope, focus, and determination.

Love you infinity times infinity!

[Nov 2024] Embrace light & darkness both

Takeaways: While everyone celebrates and shares light and joyful moments, it is important to understand darkness and respect its value as well. I hope you liked the gift that I sent.

Today, we celebrate the festival of lights, filling our homes with lamps and sparklers, and everywhere we look, there’s brightness. We love the light because it shows us where we’re going and makes everything feel safe and happy.

But you know, light and darkness need each other. Imagine if there was no darkness—then we wouldn’t even notice the lights! Both light and darkness help us learn different things in life. So today, I want to share a few thoughts on how light and darkness work together to make us stronger and wiser.

1. “Light Helps Us See, But Darkness Helps Us Focus.”

When there’s light, we can see everything around us. But in the dark, it’s harder to see the outside world, so we turn our focus inward. This can help us discover what we really think and feel.

Here’s a verse from the Bhagavad Gita that I think you’ll like:

“तं विद्याद् दुःखसंयोगवियोगं योगसञ्ज्ञितम्।

स निश्चयेन योक्तव्यो योगोऽनिर्विण्णचेतसा॥”

(Gita 6.23)

It means that true strength is found in freeing yourself from worry and sadness, and this is achieved through steady determination and a calm mind. When times feel “dark,” try to go within and find your light. You’ll be surprised at the strength that’s already inside you!

2. “Darkness Teaches Us Strength.”

Sometimes, life puts us in situations where we don’t know what to do next, and these moments are like darkness. But darkness teaches us to become strong by figuring things out on our own. It’s like building mental muscles.

When you face challenges or uncertainty, remember that these moments are helping you become stronger, even when things don’t feel easy. It’s a way to practice using your own light.

3. “Use Darkness to Become Calm and Focused.”

Have you ever noticed how calm and quiet it gets at night? That’s darkness showing us how to find peace. The world slows down, and it becomes easier to calm our thoughts.

The Bhagavad Gita also says that a wise person, like a lamp sheltered from the wind, doesn’t flicker in the face of challenges. Just like that, we can pull our focus inward during dark times and find calmness. It’s like taking a deep breath when you’re nervous; you feel more in control and ready to face anything.

4. “Darkness Can Be a Teacher.”

Darkness can show us things that light sometimes hides. Like a teacher, it asks us to be brave, patient, and strong. Sometimes, it even shows us what we’re afraid of so we can learn to face it.

In Hindu philosophy, it’s often said that knowledge and wisdom grow in the dark. Just like seeds grow under the soil before they sprout into the light, our wisdom grows inside us, especially when we face challenges.

Diwali is definitely a time to celebrate the victory of good over evil and to light up our surroundings and share our happiness and joy with others. However, it is important to not let darkness scare us. Both light and darkness are teachers that help us become stronger, braver, and wiser. Whenever you face a “dark” time, think of it as a way to grow, just like a seed growing under the soil before it bursts into the light.

Happy Diwali, Champ!

Love you infinity times infinity!

[Oct 2024] Taking each day as it comes

It can be overwhelming at times, to think about a zillion things that you want in life. and desires. You envision your future, the milestones you want to hit, the things you want to achieve, and the person you want to become. And it all comes rushing at you, like an overwhelming tide that leaves you feeling paralyzed. What should you do first? Where do you even begin?

The truth is, it’s not just you; it’s all of us. We live in a world that constantly pushes us to think big, dream big, and set ambitious goals. And while there’s nothing wrong with ambition, it can sometimes be overwhelming. The weight of all those aspirations, goals, and societal expectations can feel like too much to carry.

But here’s a little secret that many successful people have learned along the way: You don’t have to carry it all at once. You just have to take each day as it comes and make sure that every day counts for something meaningful to you.

“कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।

मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥”

(Bhagavad Gita 2.47)

Karmanyevaadhikaaraste maa phaleshu kadaachana |

Maa karmaphalaheturbhuurmaa te sangostvakarmani ||

Your right is to perform your duty only, never to its fruits. Let not the fruits of action be your motive, nor let your attachment be to inaction.

The Pressure of Doing It All

In our pursuit of ‘having it all,’ we often get trapped in an exhausting mental loop. We juggle thoughts of career growth, financial goals, relationship milestones, self-improvement, and every other checkbox on the “success list.” And the sad part is, this fixation on doing it all often paralyzes us from doing anything at all.

We tend to underestimate the power of small, consistent actions, and overestimate the importance of big, grand gestures. We get stuck thinking, “I’ll start once I figure out everything,” but the reality is, life doesn’t wait for perfect moments. Sometimes, the perfect moment is simply the present one.

Taking Each Day as It Comes

So how do you make each day count? It starts with a simple mindset shift — one that focuses on today rather than tomorrow. You don’t need to conquer all your goals today, or even tomorrow. The idea is to do something today that aligns with what you want out of life.

This could be as small as reading a few pages of a book, going for a walk to clear your mind, reaching out to an old friend, or doing a single task that brings you closer to your bigger goals. Each action may seem insignificant on its own, but when you stack up those small actions over time, they collectively make a massive impact.

“उदये सविता रक्तो रक्तश्चास्तमये तथा।

सम्पत्तौ च विपत्तौ च महतामेकरूपता॥”

Udaye Savitaa Rakto Raktashchaastamaye Tathaa |

Sampattau cha vipattau cha mahataamekarupataa ||

The sun is red both at its rising and setting. Likewise, great souls remain equanimous in prosperity and adversity.

The Power of the Right Thing

It’s important to clarify that making each day count isn’t about being overly productive or constantly hustling. It’s about doing the right thing for that day, whatever that may be for you. On some days, the right thing could be pushing yourself to get a workout in. On other days, it could be simply taking a break to reflect, recharge, or spend time with loved ones.

The key is to ask yourself at the start of each day, “What is one thing I can do today that will help me move closer to the life I want to live?” And then, just do that one thing.

This shift from trying to achieve it all to doing what feels right can drastically reduce the pressure you put on yourself. And it’s surprising how much lighter you feel when you don’t force yourself to juggle every ball in the air.

Letting Go of Perfection

Perfection is the enemy of progress. The quest to be perfect often stops us from getting started at all. We think, “I need the perfect plan, the perfect timing, the perfect skills,” but in reality, perfection is an illusion.

Instead, focus on progress. Small, consistent progress is what will help you make those days count. Whether you’re taking baby steps or giant leaps, as long as you’re moving forward, you’re doing great.

So, let go of the need to have it all figured out. Understand that life is a journey, and it’s okay to not have every step mapped out. Allow yourself to grow, learn, stumble, and keep moving ahead — one day at a time.

“यथा हि एकेन चक्रेण न रथस्य गतिः भवेत्।

एवं पुरुषकारेण विना दैवं न सिद्ध्यति॥”

Yathaa hi ekena chakrena na rathasya gatih bhavet |

Evam purushakaarena vinaa daivam na siddhyati ||

Just as a chariot does not move with only one wheel, so too, destiny (daivam) cannot be achieved without effort (purushakaar).

Make Each Day Count — Your Way

What makes a day count varies from person to person. It depends on what you value and what makes you feel fulfilled. Some days will feel productive; others may not. And that’s okay. Life isn’t meant to be a race toward some distant finish line. It’s about finding joy, meaning, and purpose in the everyday moments.

So, if today feels overwhelming and the future seems far too distant to reach, take a deep breath and remind yourself: Just take it one day at a time. Focus on what you can do today, in this moment, to make your life just a little better than it was yesterday.

One day, you’ll look back and see how all those ‘one things’ you did every day stacked up to create the life you dreamed of. And you’ll be proud of how far you’ve come — not because you achieved everything you ever wanted all at once, but because you made every day count for something that mattered to you.

Conclusion

It’s easy to get lost in the hustle and the pressure of wanting to achieve everything, but taking life one day at a time can be freeing. Remember that it’s not about perfection or doing everything all at once. It’s about showing up each day and doing what feels right for that day. So take each day as it comes, and make it count — your way.
